Gigabyte Released Its New Radeon RX 470 G1 GAMING Graphics Card

Gigabyte revealed Radeon RX 470 G1 GAMING 4G graphics card. It is factory-overclocked to 1230MHz, the 4GB-equipped RX 470 G1 GAMING graphics card raises the game further with the cherry-picked GPU core, WINDFORCE dual-fan cooler and RGB illumination.

Gigabyte says this card will boost up to 1230 MHz, a modest core overclock compared to the reference design’s 1206MHz. This card’s memory clock matches the reference 6.6 GT/s, and it has the same port configuration that on the reference RX 480: one HDMI, 3× DisplayPort, and one DVI. Aside from that, the card has one of Gigabyte’s usually-excellent Windforce 2X coolers bolted to it, with an understated aluminum backplate. Newegg has it for $199, in stock at this time.

The card uses a single 8-pin PCI-e power connector, so there should be a good overclock potential. As for the clockspeed, it has a boost clock of 1230 MHz. Black shroud with orange stripes and black back plate follow the new G1 Gaming code. RGB lit Gigabyte logo on the side is also controllable via menu. The dual-fan WINDFORCE 2X cooling system has 90mm fans and the blade fan design is said to enhance cooling capacity by 23%. A 6+1 power phase design is in place to provide better overclocking headroom.

The Gigabyte Radeon RX 470 G1 Gaming 4G can easily be identified as a G1 Gaming card with a quick glance; Gigabyte’s entire new lineup, including the GTX 1080, GTX 1070, GTX 1060, RX 480 and now the RX 470 all feature the same aesthetic design. It also features Spectrum RGB illumination for the Gigabyte logo and fan stop light, that can both be found on the top edge of the card.
