Apple MacBook Lineup Update Bring Kaby Lake Processor

Apple has recently announced the upgraded version of the whole MacBook lineup at Worldwide Developer Conference. The main highlight of the new update is that, now the MacBook lineup laptops powered by the latest generation Intel Kaby Lake processor. Along with the software update, the companies make it whole lineup to more powerful and update them with better hardware and specs.

The MacBook lineup will get faster SSDs, according to John Ternus, Apple’s vice president of hardware engineering. Storage is now 50 percent faster on the MacBook and you have the option of doubling memory to 16GB on the notebooks, according to the company.


The updated 12-inch MacBook now powered by the Intel seventh generation Core i7 processor which is having a clock frequency of 1.4 GHz and also comes with the Turbo Boost up to 3.6 GHz. For the memory, the 12-inch notebook now offers up to 16 gigabytes of RAM. This laptop has also come with new SSDs, which claimed to be the 50 percent faster as compared to the previous generation laptops.

Now comes to the 13-inch MacBook Pro, which is also updated with the new Kaby Lake Core i7 processor, clocking at 3.5 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 4.0 GHz. This updated laptop also comes with the support for Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 chipset for the base configuration option, which will provide you enhance and improve graphics experience. While for the high configuration, the company has added more powerful chipset, touted as the Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650.

Moreover, the 15-inch MacBook Pro will be powered by the Intel Core i7 processor up to 3.1 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 4.1 GHz. Furthermore, the 15-inch notebook now comes with the support for Radeon Pro 555 discrete graphics processor along with 2 gigabytes of video memory. And there is also an option for Radeon Pro 560 with 4GB memory.

Or the most popular notebook among the people, the MacBook Air has also updated with the Kaby Lake processor, which is having a clock frequency of 1.8 GHz.

In terms of price, the 12-inch MacBook starts at $1,299, the 13-inch MacBook Pro for $1,299. The 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar retails for $2,399.
