ADATA XPG Launches SD700X External SSD

ADATA – leading manufacturer of high performance DRAM modules, Nand flash products, and mobile accessories – has recently announced the XPG SD700X external SSD. The notable feature of the SSD card is that, it is IEC IP68 certified to dust and water proofing standards, the drive is also military-grade shockproof.


The SSD available in various storage capacities: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB of 3D TLC NAND. The SD700X External SSD works in plug and play via USB 3.1 with windows, Xbox One, PS4, and Android devices as well, to provide the instant access to additional storage. At 440MB/s read and write it is over four times faster than compared to an external HDD, resulting it provides in shorter game load time and smoother game play.

It comes with IEC IP68 certified; means has complete dust-tight protection and withstanding 60 minute immersion in 1.5m deep water. It offers a rugged but stylish storage option that keeps precious games safe even in the event of spills, dust exposure, or drops, as it also meets US Army MIL-STD810G 516.6 requirements.

The SD700X External SSD features 3D TLC NAND and up to 1TB, which is enough for dozens of large PC or console games in the 30GB to 50GB range. Gamers can also have option for 256GB and 512GB versions.

The SD700X easily outmatches even the speediest spin drive that reaching the 440MB/s and sustaining maximum speeds thanks to DRAM cache and SLC caching.
