Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 – Flip Phone With Android Nougat OS

Back in 2013, when the Samsung Electronics first launch it Galaxy Folder series flip phone, it got popular among those people who want a basic phone and do not need all the features of the latest smartphone. Now, the company again back with another flip phone, touted as the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2. It is the success to the Galaxy Folder, and the disappointing thing, it will launched in the company’s native South Korea this week.

According to Samsung, its new phone has a “retro” and lean metal design, with most feature phones designed in the flip phone format having been sold before the arrival of smartphones. The newly announced Folder Flip 2 looks pretty much like its predecessor, but with few changes, such as it comes with a larger keypad.

In terms of specs, the basic phone features a 3.8 inches display and runs on the latest generation Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The phone is powered by the quad core processor, which clocked at 1.4 GHz and paired with a 2GB of RAM along with up to 256GB of expandable storage. The company has not confirmed yet, but it is expected that the basic phone will features an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front facing camera for capturing selfies. To power the phone, there is a removable 1,950mAh battery that provides you enough juice.

The Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 will be available in two models: one will come with the support for LTE connection, while the other will support 3G. The phone also has a set of physical button to load up contacts, text and camera. There is also a button, which is dedicated to social media apps, such as Kakao Talk or BAND. Moreover, the phone also comes with new 15 ringtones, especially for those who have felt difficulty in hearing.

As for the Price, the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 will costs 297,000 won or $260 and will available for purchase in South Korea this week. And there is no word whether the company will launch it in other markets or not. The phone will available in two color options: Black and Pink.
