BMW 2 Series For 2017 Is A Small & Performance Oriented Vehicle

BMW is now overhauling the powertrain lineup in its 2-Series range for the 2017 model year. It is a highly recommended vehicle particularly for those users who need adequate backseat. Some of the highlights for 2017 include an excellent handling, a quiet ride, impressive and fuel-sipping engines, feature-rich interior, and high quality equipment levels. Its release date should be expected sometime early next year.

The coupes and convertibles adopt the latest versions of the automaker’s 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder engines and in the process benefit from performance and efficiency gains. The cars also adopt new badges to denote the extra proficiency they are now packing.

For 2017, the previously optional Premium package is now standard, and the M235i Convertible can be ordered with an AWD system. Also, the 2017 BMW 2 Series 228i trim now comes out with standard sport seats. And lastly, a new Luxury package adds chrome exterior and leather trim.

2017 BMW 2 Series,

At the bottom of the range, a 230i replaces the previous 228i. The 230i still sports a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder but now peak power is 248 hp, up from 240 hp previously. Peak torque of 258 pound-feet remains unchanged.

Further up, a M240i replaces the previous M235i. This M Performance model sticks with a turbocharged 3.0-liter 6-cylinder but sees its output rise to 335 hp and 369 lb-ft, up from the 320 hp and 330 lb-ft previously.

For those of us who have been dreaming of a luxury and a comfort laden small car able to effortlessly cruise the highway and a winding mountain, there exists no direct competitor to what the BMW 2 Series 2017 offers.
