LG X Power2 Smartphone Has Enough Battery To Last All Weekend

LG has astonished everybody by announcing the LG X Power2 Smartphone ahead of the Mobile World Congress MWC 2017 event. When everybody was expecting further details about the LG’s highly-anticipated flagship, the LG G6 smartphone, the company has dropped a bomb just two days prior to the event, scheduled to be held in Barcelona, Spain.

The newly announced smartphone is the successor to its 2016 entry, the LG X power. “The smartphone is all about great value and technology,” President of LG Electronics, Juno Cho, stated.

The LG X Power2 Smartphone gets the advantage with its massive battery. With the 4,500mAh battery, users can enjoy watching videos continuously for 15 hours. The company claimed that the users can enjoy suffering the internet for an incredible 18 hours and the battery can support navigational direction for nearly 14 hours. Moreover, the charging speed has also increased, LG claims that it’s charging speed is two times faster than the most phones. The phone will get a full charge within 120 minutes and those who want 50 percent battery charge can avail the same at the half time. LG said it will last the whole weekend.

The smartphone comes with a 5.5 inch HD LCD screen with the support of Comfort View that reduces the amount of blue light emitted by the display to help with the eye strain. It runs the latest generation Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box and powered by a 1.5 GHz octa core processor. Under the hood, the phone packs either a 2GB or 1.5 GB RAM along with 16 GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 2TB via MicroSD card.

As far as the cameras concerned, the smartphone comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera featuring LG’s Zero Shutter Lag that eliminates the annoying delay between the time, when the shutter button is pressed the image is captured. On the front, you will find a wide-angle 5 megapixel front facing camera with LED flash for selfies. The smartphone supports LTE, 2G and 3G and has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer.

Price & Availability

The pricing details of the smartphone has not announced yet (though the last years’s X Power smartphone will cost less than $200) and the company said it will begin shipping in March in Latin America followed by a US launch. The phone will available in four color options, namely black, silver, gold and blue.
