LG Will Debut Five New Smartphones At CES

LG is planning to unveil five new-mid range smartphone at the CES 2017 slated to be held in Las Vegas in January next year. The South Korean company says that the new 2017 variants of the LG K3, K4, K8, K10 smartphones, and Stylus 3 will strengthen its portfolio in the mid-range segment. All new LG smartphones will be showcased at the CES 2017 event.

LG K series

The phones really aren’t all that exciting, although some of the models do launch along with Android Nougat, so that is appreciated. The K Series phones’ displays range from 4.5-inch to 5.3-inch. The smallest device, while probably adorable, it’s lacking specs-wise: it has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2,100mAh removable battery, and also runs Android Marshmallow.

The largest of the series, the K10, has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2,800mAh removable battery, and also runs Android Nougat. It runs on MediaTek processor.

LG Stylus 3

The LG Stylus 3 features a 5.7-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with a pixel density of 258ppi. It is powered by same processor that powers the LG K10. It packs a 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and comes out with 16GB inbuilt storage. This handset supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 2TB). It also sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. This handset is backed by a 3200mAh removable battery and it runs on . As the name suggests, the new LG Stylus 3 supports stylus pen and comes out with 4G LTE connectivity feature.

There’s no word as yet as to whether we’ll see any of these handsets officially released in Australia, although LG has launched many of its previous models locally. We will find out when CES 2017 kicks off in a couple of weeks.
