Toyota Camry ATARA SX Getting An Upgrade

Toyota Camry Atara SX has updated with the bulk of improvements, adding satellite-navigation and Digital Radio. The new upgrades include the quality fitment of ISOFIX attachment points across the range and all Camry Atara models now boast parking sensors front and back. The top-spec Atara SL now even comes with a wireless phone charger.

The Atara SX is the first Camry to ride on 18-inch alloy wheels and designed to appeal to younger and private buyers as Toyota tries to expand the Camry’s sales base. Toyota Australia’s technical centre was responsible for developing the Atara SX model, initially as an ‘under the table’ program. In addition to the 18-inch alloys wheels the new model also features a faster steering ratio and revised suspension settings including shock absorbers.

The Atara SX feature Sports leather accented seats with raizen color inserts tightly hold your body in place during cornering and it Australian tuned sports suspension minimises body roll through the bends.

The Atara SX getting the biggest number of new inclusions among a range of new improvements and features being made to the seven model Camry line-up. While Toyota has also gained Euro 5 certification across all Camry hybrid and petrol engines in the range.Camry Atara SX

Atara SX also gains a convenient power sunshade for the back windscreen and its reversing camera plus image now offers superimposed predictive guidelines that move as the driver turns the steering wheel for easier manoeuvring.

Available from Toyota dealerships from next week, Tony Cramb, Toyota Australia sales and marketing chief, says the only price change being introduced to the top-selling mid-size car will be an additional $1,500 for the Atara SX.
